Alberto Ferrin was nominated the new president of the oil company in the Brazil. With ExxonMobil for more than 15 years, Ferrin has held a variety of roles with the company in exploration and production around the world, including leadership positions in West Africa, Australia, the United States and Mexico.
“Brazil remains a strategic country for ExxonMobil globally. In 2024, we will start the production phase of the Bacalhau field, with our partners Equinor, Petrogal and PPSA. We also continue to seek opportunities that have added value in the exploration area. Our greatest strength is our people. We have a top notch team. I feel proud to represent and lead our workforce”, declared the new president.
Ferrin previously served as Development and New Business Manager in Brazil, including responsibilities for the Bacalhau field operated by Equinor. ExxonMobil is one of the companies participating in the consortium that explores the area. The executive will be responsible for the Exploration and Production lines in Rio de Janeiro, Product Solutions (chemicals), in São Paulo, and for the Global Business Center, in Curitiba, totaling more than 2,000 employees.
