Sept. 8 (oilnow.gy) Blue Water Shipping Suriname has secured a three-year contract to provide logistics and supply chain services for Noble Corporation’s offshore operations in Suriname.
The company announced the award on September 4. It said the agreement expands its role in supporting the country’s offshore energy sector.
Noble’s July 2026 fleet report listed the Noble Developer as operating in the country for Petronas through September 2026. It is also preparing two rigs for long-term drilling contracts with TotalEnergies in Suriname. The Noble Valiant is scheduled to begin working for the operator in November 2026. The Noble Discoverer is expected to follow in December 2026.
Under the contract, Blue Water Shipping will handle customs brokerage, rig intake, and mobilization support. It will also provide domestic transportation, logistics coordination, local procurement assistance, and international freight forwarding.
The services are intended to support the safe and efficient movement of equipment and supplies required for Noble’s offshore campaign.
“We are proud to support Noble in this important campaign and to be entrusted with delivering critical logistics solutions that contribute to its success,” said Gerson Sporkslede, General Manager of Blue Water Shipping, Suriname. “Our focus is on providing seamless, safe, and efficient operations while creating value through proactive planning, local expertise, and global logistics capabilities.”
Blue Water Shipping said the agreement combines its international freight-forwarding network with its operational capacity in Suriname.
“This contract demonstrates our ability to combine Blue Water Shipping’s international network and freight forwarding expertise with strong local execution in Suriname,” Sporkslede said. “As activity in the offshore energy sector continues to grow, we remain committed to supporting our clients with reliable, end-to-end supply chain solutions that enable operational excellence and project success.”
The contract covers support ranging from the arrival and mobilization of Noble’s rig to the domestic and international coordination of cargo. It also strengthens Blue Water Shipping’s presence in Suriname as offshore energy activity expands.
