Oil States secures three year agreement with Petrobras for subsea services

Sept. 7 – Oil States Brasil has secured a new contract with Petrobras to provide specialized maintenance and technical assistance services for subsea equipment. The three-year agreement covers support for Petrobras’s subsea operations as well as for the exploration and production (E&P) consortia in which the oil company participates.

The scope encompasses activities such as inspection, testing, preventive and corrective maintenance, installation and intervention, operational planning, integrity analysis, engineering, and the supply of parts and components, alongside the provision and operation of specialized tools. Equipment covered includes MCVs, MCAs, subsea valves, ILTs, PLETs, PLEMs, RHAS, and torque tools manufactured by or utilizing Oil States technology, with integrated execution of offshore activities and remote/onshore support.

According to the company, the new contract reinforces its presence in the sector and its track record in providing these types of services. Since 2020, Oil States has experienced significant growth in this market, having completed 65 subsea operations—19 of which took place in 2026 alone. “This is another major achievement that recognizes Oil States’ expertise, technology, and local capabilities, while also strengthening our partnership with Petrobras and expanding our contribution to increasingly safe, reliable, and efficient operations,” the company stated.
