OceanPact Completes Acquisition of Dock Brasil Shipyard

Sept. 7 – On August 31, 2026, OceanPact—through its wholly-owned subsidiary Estaleiro Farol de São Tomé Ltda.—completed the acquisition of all outstanding shares of Dock Brasil Engenharia e Serviços S.A., a shipyard located in São Gonçalo, Rio de Janeiro. Following the fulfillment of all requisite corporate and regulatory steps, Dock Brasil has become part of the OceanPact group.

With a workforce of 340 employees, the shipyard is strategically located in the Guanabara Bay area, well-positioned to serve the oil and gas industry and vessels operating in the Campos, Santos, and Espírito Santo basins. The facility features a 99-meter-long floating dock with a lifting capacity of up to 5,800 tons and is capable of transferring vessels weighing up to 3,000 tons to three onshore docking sites.

Dock Brasil will be managed by the company’s founder, Carlos Boeckh, who assumes the role of General Manager. He will maintain the facility’s focus on ship repair services and continue serving shipowners and clients across the market.

This transaction expands OceanPact’s capacity for vessel repair and maintenance and reinforces the Company’s commitment to the development of the Brazilian maritime industry.
