BP contracts Halliburton for services at the Bumerangue Field, Santos Basin

Aug. 26 – Halliburton announced that it has been awarded an integrated contract by bp for the initial appraisal campaign of the Bumerangue field in the Santos Basin. The contract includes a comprehensive suite of services designed to accelerate the appraisal campaign for bp’s discovery. The scope of work encompasses an integrated drilling services package aimed at optimizing reservoir evaluation and increasing operational efficiency.

Halliburton aims to reduce operational complexity by consolidating multiple services. LOGIX automation and remote operations solutions will also be utilized to enhance efficiency and execution consistency.

“This contract reflects Halliburton’s ability to execute complex deepwater projects by combining digital solutions, integrated service delivery, and local expertise,” said Francisco Tarazona, Halliburton’s Senior Vice President for Latin America.

The collaboration also involves the use of digital solutions and automated well construction to enhance oil and gas production. Integrating services and software will create a connected workflow spanning from well planning to execution and evaluation. Data, artificial intelligence, and advanced drilling technologies will provide real-time insights to support decision-making and ensure greater operational consistency throughout the development of the deepwater asset.
