Petrobras declares the commerciality of Manjuba Field in the Campos Basin

The National Petroleum Agency (ANP) approved the declaration of commerciality for the Manjuba field, in the Campos Basin. The field was created from the North Brava block, operated by Petrobras (100%).

As a reminder, the North Brava block was acquired by Petrobras in December last year, in the first cycle of the Permanent Sharing Offer. The new field’s reservoir is shared between the Albacora field concession (also in the Campos Basin) and the production sharing contract for Norte de Brava.

The ANP also approved the declaration of commerciality for the Muriqui field, in the Espírito Santo Basin, presented by the BGM/Campo Petróleo e Gás consortium. The new field comes from block ES-T-496, won in the 11th ANP Bidding Round , in 2013.

According to information released by the ANP, in addition to Manjuba and Muriqui, six other fields were declared commercial in 2023: Águia Real, in the Espírito Santo Basin (Capixaba Energia); Sori Farm, in the Recôncavo Basin (Brasil Refinarias); Lagoa Parda Sul, in the Espírito Santo Basin (Imetame); Joanes River and Camaçari, in the Recôncavo Basin (Creative Energy); and Piaçabuçu, in Alagoas (Engineering and Construction Expertise).
