(TN) Petrogal Brasil was the winner of the direct sales process carried out by Pré-Sal Petróleo (PPSA) this August 31st, to market the first oil cargo, of 500 thousand barrels, arising from the oil sharing production contract of Sepia and which will be available for loading in the last quarter of the year. Ten companies that have pre-salt operations were invited to participate and three of them submitted proposals: Petrobras, Petrogal and Total. All price offers were opened in real time in a meeting held between PPSA and representatives of the participating companies.
According to the rules of the process, the winner would be the company that offered the highest price, based on the Reference Price established for Sepia oil by the National Agency of Petroleum, Natural Gas and Biofuels (ANP). Petrogal won with a premium offer of R$ 31.00 on the aforementioned Reference Price. The Portuguese company operates in more than 26 oil and natural gas projects in Brazil and participates in production sharing contracts for Norte de Carcará and Uirapuru.
