Petróleo Brasileiro S.A. – Petrobras, following up on the releases disclosed on 11/05/2021 and 01/25/2022, and regarding the news published in the media about the divestment process of Albacora, in the Campos Basin, clarifies that Albacora is part of the portfolio of assets for sale by the company, as disclosed in the Strategic Plan 2022-2026. The Company also clarifies that there is no decision to suspend the divestment process.
According to the information presented in the teaser released on 09/25/20, Albacora has a revitalization project with the potential to significantly increase its production, in addition to an extensive development plan. Petrobras conducts tests in the Forno pre-salt formation, having discovered additional non-producing reservoirs and identified exploratory leads.
Petrobras reinforces its commitment to the broad transparency of its divestment projects and portfolio management and informs that the subsequent stages of the project will be disclosed in accordance with the Company’s Divestment Guidelines.
