(PN) Bureau Veritas announced that it has taken over the internal audit of the Operational Management System of the onshore and offshore installations of the oil company 3R Petroleum. The company will be responsible for evaluating the compliance of the company’s operations based on the technical regulations of the National Petroleum Agency (ANP). In addition, Bureau Veritas will also assist in risk prevention and analysis of the potential impact on personal and operational safety, the environment and the community.
“The history of Bureau Veritas began in the Maritime sector and in these more than 190 years of experience in quality and safety of operations, we have helped thousands of companies to develop and expand their business with integrity, efficiency and transparency. With 3R Petroleum it will be no different, especially as it is such a young company with so much potential”, commented the director of Maritime and Offshore at Bureau Veritas, Márcio Pereira.
Within the scope of the contract, Bureau Veritas will assess the adherence of 3R Petroleum’s Operational Management System to ANP resolutions related to drilling, production and movement of oil, derivatives and natural gas. This verification will cover both onshore and offshore and underwater installations. In addition to the guidelines established in the technical regulations, the group will also consider the company’s internal standards and the reference standards in the oil and gas industry.
The works will be carried out at the Macau, Pescada, Areia Branca and Potiguar Clusters, in Rio Grande do Norte; Rio Ventura and Recôncavo Clusters, in Bahia; Fazenda Belém, in Ceará; Peroá, in Espírito Santo; and Papa-Terra, in Rio de Janeiro.
“We are currently one of the largest independent private oil and gas operators in Latin America, focused on increasing production from mature fields, with safety as a value. The partnership with Bureau Veritas is fundamental in operations optimization plans, with a focus on operational efficiency and risk control, always with total respect for people and the environment”, said 3R Petroleum CEO Ricardo Savini.
