– As a partner, Mitsui has preemptive rights in the purchase, but would have given up the deal. Mitsui acquired its stake in Gaspetro at the end of 2015, for almost R $ 2 billion. The company also holds a direct stake in eight distributors – six in the Northeast and two in the South.

– The Cosan group presented proposals for the purchase of Petrobras’ stake in Gaspetro. The oil company has yet to disclose which others are interested in the deal, but expects to close the deal this year, to complete the transfer in 2021.

– The sale of Gaspetro is part of the agreement proposed by Petrobras to Cade to open the natural gas market, which came into force in 2019. The company is also expected to sell its 51% stake in TBG, which owns the Bolivia-Brazil gas pipeline ( Gasbol).
