The ANP approved the assignment of responsibility for the operation and 20% of Anadarko’s stake to BP Energy, in block BM-C-32, in the Campos Basin. In 2016, the US oil company took over the operation of the asset that, until then, was in the hands of BP itself.
The regulatory agency board also approved the transfer of ownership in the block from Total Energia to Total E&P.
After approval of the change of control of the operation and assignment, BM-C-32 will have the following composition: BP Energy, 60% operator, Total E&P (26.67%) and Anadarko (13.33%).
Acquired in the fifth round of concessions, the asset is located in the Itaipu region.
Anadarko was recently bought by Occidental’s $ 55 billion transaction.
