The deep water discoveries and the long-term test forecast for 2019 in the Farfan area of the Sergipe Basin were highlighted in a teleconference with investors about the company’s results in the first quarter. The Director of Exploration and Production, Carlos Alberto Pereira de Oliveira, highlighted the latest discoveries in the region and praised the quality of oil extracted in the state:
“In this area of Sergipe, we have already made six discoveries: Cumbe, Barra, Farfan, Muriú, Moita Bonita and Poço Verde. With confirmation of the extension (of the gas accumulation in Moita Bonita) and the long-term test in Farfan, which is scheduled for 2019, an important prospect for Petrobras opens up. We already have a module foreseen in our Business and Management Plan 2019-2023, which is an FPSO with a capacity of 100,000 barrels per day. In this block, what we have found is oil and reservoir of excellent quality, “said the director.
