CGG was the best ranked in a Petrobras bid to contract a seismic campaign in the Campos Basin. The scope foresees the acquisition of 3D streamer data and 4D multiazimute in the fields of Albacora, Marlim and Voador.
Last week, the oil company reported that it requested the Ibama license to conduct the seismic survey and that the environmental agency determined the preparation of an environmental seismic study, accompanied by an environmental impact report.
Among the latest surveys conducted by CGG in the country are one in Jubarte, in Parque das Baleias, and one in the field of Búzios, which is underway. This last campaign is run by Seabed Geosolutions, a joint venture with the Dutch company Fugro in which the French company holds a 40% stake.
Today, at Ibama, CGG is requesting to license a campaign to acquire 40,000 km² of data in the Campos Basin, north of the pre-salt polygon, and a nodes campaign in the Peroba area, 3rd round of production sharing in 2017.
