Aker Solutions is competing for around NOK 50 billion ($ 6 billion) in contracts worldwide, most of them in the subsea segment. The information appears in the financial report for the second quarter, released on Thursday 12th.
The Norwegian company is optimistic that the market will pick up, boosted by high barrel prices and lower project development costs, whose architecture is increasingly simple and efficient.
One of the highlights is the Norwegian offshore, where the increased demand for front-end engineering projects indicates the resumption of activities.
Aker Solutions also noted that with the decline of reserves and the reduction of oil and gas production in many parts of the world, it will be necessary to invest in new developments and the recovery of existing fields.
