The Brazilian Association of Petroleum Services Companies (ABESPetro), elected on Tuesday the 21st), by direct vote of its members, the new board of directors for the biennium 2018/2019.
They were elected: Alejandro Duran (GE Oil & Gas), Claudio Makarovsky (Siemens), Gilberto Cardarelli (Brasco), José Mauro Ferreira (TechnipFMC), Rodrigo Ribeiro (Queiroz Galvão) and Telmo Ghiorzi (Aker Solutions). Among the elected directors, Makarovsky was chosen to be the President.
“Today is a very special day! Together with a fantastic team, I was chosen to be the President of ABESPetro. I commit together with the board and members, to continue the work previously developed and collaborate with new projects for the permanent development of the O & G industry in Brazil, “Makarovsky said.
Between the current and previous directors, Rodrigo Ribeiro, stands out as a new member. “Being part of ABESPetro’s board of directors is a great honor for me, as well as renewing my willingness to contribute to the new board of directors, both in strengthening this important association for the Oil and Gas industry and in defending the interests of all companies represented by it “.
For the Fiscal Council, the names elected were Edmundo Falcão (Sapura), Geisa Campos (Fugro), Leonardo Guimarães (Frank’s), Jorge Mitidieri (Odebrecht), David Richardson (Transocean) and Felipe Baldissera (Modec).
José Firmo, who will take over the presidency of IBP, leaves ABESPetro’s board of directors: “Very happy with the transparent and competitive process for choosing new directors. I am honored with the confidence that I have received during these 2 years and with the certainty that ABESPetro will continue to be an agent of positive changes for the sector, “said Firmo.
José Firmo will assume the position of chairman of the Consultative Council of former presidents, and will continue to contribute to ABESPetro.
ABESPetro currently consists of 47 Associates that have a focus on the supply of goods and / or services to the oil and natural gas exploration and production sector.
