April 27 (Reuters) – Colombian state-run energy company Ecopetrol estimates a net profit of between two and three trillion pesos (between $563.1 million and $844.7 million) in the first quarter, the company said on Monday.
Total revenue for the state oil producer is projected to be between 27 and 30 trillion pesos between January and March this year.
According to an operational update shared on Ecopetrol’s website, production in the first three months of the year is estimated to have reached between 715,000 and 730,000 barrels of oil per day (bpd).
The company did not provide a percentage change from previous projections yet the new figures compare to a net profit of 1.52 trillion pesos that Ecopetrol reported in the prior quarter and 3.12 trillion pesos a year ago in the first quarter of 2025.
The company expects earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortization (EBITDA) to land between 12 and 14 trillion pesos in the first quarter.
Ecopetrol is expected to release its 2025 financial results in the first week of May.
