New Executive Secretary of ABESpetro

ABESPetro is pleased to announce that Mr. Telmo Ghiorzi has accepted the challenge of acting as the new Executive Secretary of ABESPetro.

Telmo is a Senior Executive in the industrial sector, with a focus on the Oil & Gas and Engineering & Construction sectors. He has extensive experience in B2B and C-level business development for large companies, as well as structuring business alliances and industrial operations. Graduated in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Brasília, post-graduated and Master in Petroleum Engineering from UNICAMP, he also obtained a post-doctorate at FGV in “Co-Evolution of Global Value Chains, Innovations Systems & Technological Capabilities”, and also a post-doctorate by UFRJ in “Sectorial Innovation System of Brazilian Oil & Gas Industry Suppliers”. In addition to his vast academic experience, Telmo has a successful career as an Executive in several large companies such as Shell, Emerson, Cameron, Camargo Correa, Aker Solutions, Wison, UTC and more recently at Azevedo & Travassos. Telmo acted as Director of ABESPetro between January 2016 and March 2019, making a significant contribution to our association. He has also acted as a director at ABEMI since 2020.

Telmo will assume the responsibilities of Executive Secretary from January 10, 2021, already acting directly with the new Board of Directors for the 2022-2023 biennium that will take office at the beginning of next year. The Institutional Relations Consultant Gilson Coelho, with his experience of several years acting as Executive Secretary and more recently as Institutional Relations of the association, will support Telmo in the great challenge ahead of keeping ABESPetro as the main interlocutor of the first link in the chain of suppliers in the goods and services sector for the Oil & Gas sector. Telmo will also have the support of the ABESPetro Team to follow up on the purposeful agendas of our Thematic Committees.
