(TNPetroleo) The Second Round of Bidding for the Excess Volumes of the Transfer of Rights has 11 companies registered and is scheduled for Dec. 17th. Yesterday another company was approved by the Special Tender Committee (CEL): QP Brasil Ltda (Qatar Petroleo).
Another ten companies are also eligible for bidding, having been approved at previous CEL meetings: Petrobras, Shell Brasil Petróleo SA., Chevron Brasil Óleo e Gás Ltda., Ecopetrol Óleo e Gás do Brasil Ltda, Enauta Energia SA, Equinor Brasil Energia Ltda, ExxonMobil Exploration Brasil Ltda, Petrogal Brasil SA, Petronas Petróleo Brasil Ltda. and TotalEnergies EP Brasil Ltda.
The Second Round of the Transfer of Rights will offer the areas of Sepia and Atapu, both within the limits of the pre-salt polygon. CNPE Resolution No. 09/2021 established that the Public Notice for the Second Round of Tenders for Excess Volumes of the Transfer of Rights under the production sharing regime would indicate the mandatory participation of Petrobras, as operator, with 30% stake for both areas.
Qualified companies complied with all the requirements set out in the notice and are eligible to participate in the round. Qualification is mandatory and individual for each interested party, even for those who intend to present an offer through a consortium. Once the requirements established in the notice have been complied with, and the qualification having been judged and approved by the Special Tender Committee, companies may submit bids for the areas, in compliance with the rules of the round.
