Oil States Brasil announced this week that it has signed a new and important contract with Petrobras. Under the new agreement, the company will provide offshore planning, maintenance and inspection services on cranes on the oil company’s five FPSOs. The new contract will run for three years.
“Having a broad knowledge of the market, combined with experience in the manufacture of cranes and winches (Factory in Houma – LA – USA) and its own normative library, allows Oil States to perform this contract with operational efficiency and safety,” said the company, in a statement posted on LinkedIn.
The company also recalled that it has a contract with a similar scope, in which it serves 13 FPSOs in the Brazilian market, thus consolidating its market share expansion strategy for this business line. Recently, Oil States Brasil also finalized an inspection and maintenance service contract for 12 cranes of an offshore rig belonging to a group in the drilling segment in Brazil.
