Located in the Atapu field, in the eastern portion of the Santos Basin pre-salt, the P-70 reached its project capacity of 150,000 barrels per day on July 12, with the contribution of just four producing wells, one year after entry into production. This result confirms the excellent productivity of the field’s reservoirs and reflects the efficient and competitive performance of Petrobras to maximize the assets’ potential, promoting greater returns for the company and society through the generation of jobs and payment of taxes
The P-70 is the fifth FPSO (floating unit for the production, storage and transfer of oil and gas) of the replicant series and has the capacity to treat up to 6 million m³ of natural gas. The unit operates about 200 km off the coast of the state of Rio de Janeiro, in a water depth of 2,300 m. With high operational performance, this unit installed in the Atapu field continues to contribute to the growth of production in the pre-salt, which is becoming increasingly relevant for Petrobras.
The shared Atapu deposit comprises the Oeste de Atapu and Atapu fields and a portion of the area not contracted by the Union. Petrobras holds 89.257% of the rights to the deposit in partnership with Shell Brasil Petróleo Ltda (4.258%), TotalEnergies EP Brasil Ltda ( 3.832%), Petrogal Brasil SA (1.703%) and PPSA, representing the Union (0.950%).
