Petrobras on amendments to the agreements with CADE

Rio de Janeiro, January 18, 2021 – Petróleo Brasileiro S.A. –  Petrobras in relation to the news published in the media clarifies that the company did not sign the amendment to the Commitment Agreement (“TCC”) signed with the Administrative Council for Economic Defense (CADE) for the refining market.

The draft of the amendment was approved by CADE to adjust the deadline for signing the purchase and sale contracts of the eight refineries from December 31, 2020 to April 30, 2021.

Additionally, CADE also approved the draft of TCC’s amendment for the natural gas market to adjust the signing deadlines of Nova Transportadora do Sudeste S.A. (NTS) and Petrobras Gás S.A. (Gaspetro) from December 31, 2020 to April 30, 2021.

The signatures of the amendments will follow the procedures of governance approval by the competent bodies of Petrobras.

The company reinforces its commitment to a wide transparency of its divestment projects and portfolio management.
