SIEMENS ENERGY AND BENTLEY LAUNCH SERVICE TO REDUCE O&G OPERATING EXPENSES

Siemens Energy and Bentley Systems announced the launch of a joint solution to reduce operating expenses associated with oil and gas assets. The service was named “Asset Performance Management for Oil & Gas” (APM4O&G) and combines the main complementary offers from both companies to improve asset performance, eliminate downtime and reduce maintenance costs.

APM4O&G combines Bentley’s asset performance software features (AssetWise) with Siemens Energy technology and service experience. The idea with the solution is to train operators to improve maintenance and planning operations.

Among the strategies adopted within the new service, are predictive analyzes to optimize maintenance schedules in compression stations and gas processing plants. Offshore, APM4O&G intends to assist operators in reducing logistical costs associated with unplanned maintenance activities.

“Through our combined offerings and experience, the APM4O&G solution will help our customers manage maintenance costs, improve equipment reliability, minimize the risk of lost time and serious injury accidents and increase performance and availability of its oil and gas processing and production infrastructure ”, said the Siemens energy services control and digitalization business head, Laura Anderson.
