ENGIE PICKS  CATHERINE MACGREGOR TO COMMAND ITS OIL AND GAS SECTOR

Engie appointed executive Catherine MacGregor as the new CEO of the oil and gas sector as of January 1, 2021. The appointment comes eight months after the removal of Isabelle Kocher. MacGregor, 48, is French and currently runs Technip Energies, after having spent 23 years in the oil services group of the also French group Schlumberger. Engie had been looking for a new CEO since February.

Engie’s chairman, Jean-Pierre Clamadieu, justified the appointment of Ms. MacGregor to head the oil and gas sector when the company is focused on developing renewable energies: “Catherine MacGregor has a career in providing services to the extractive industries , but more than that she is a person with great operational experience in complex environments and who has successfully overcome all these challenges ”.
