ENEVA DRILLS A NEW WELL IN THE PARNAÍBA BASIN

Aug 20, 2020

Eneva’s exploration work in the Parnaíba Basin is going full steam ahead. Now, the company has started drilling a well (4-ENV-14-MA) in block PN-T-103, which was purchased during the 13th Bidding Round, in 2015.

In addition, the company made a natural gas discovery last week in well 1-ENV-13-MA, in block PN-T-68, also in Parnaíba. This was also the first well drilled in a block auctioned within the Permanent Offer system of the National Petroleum Agency (ANP).

The year has been very remarkable for onshore activity in Brazil. In addition to resolutions that stimulate the sector, the government yesterday approved the execution of the second phase of the Program for the Revitalization of Exploration and Production Activities for Oil and Natural Gas in Terrestrial Areas (REATE 2020).

State discussion forums, called REATE Mesa, will also be created to discuss solutions to challenges related to the terrestrial oil and natural gas chain at the state level and the creation of a better business environment.
