Pré-Sal Petróleo (PPSA) signed a contract with Schlumberger to implement the cognitive environment for E&P called Delf.
The cloud environment allows the storage and remote processing of data from oil and gas reservoirs with the participation of the Union. According to the company, the novelty will allow its professionals to interpret and geological / geophysical modeling of reservoirs of 17 sharing contracts collaboratively and remotely.
“We will use the data and the innumerable insights that can be obtained by accessing the DELFI cognitive E&P environment to improve our operational efficiency and decision making. Additionally, this initiative will allow the optimization of storage space and will increase data security, which is fundamental in view of the mandatory confidentiality of contract information ”, said PPSA’s Technical and Inspection Director, Paulo Carvalho.
PPSA monitors and technical audits the projects under the sharing regime with software that build geological / geophysical models of oil field reservoirs. These studies also serve to determine the Union’s participation in shared deposits in the Production Individualization Agreements. Today, the state-owned company has 17 professionals, including geologists, geophysicists, petrophysicists and reservoir engineers who continuously analyze the deposits of the sharing contracts and the shared areas.
