Dommo Energia posted a negative result of R $ 397.5 million during the first quarter of this year. The loss was 874% greater compared to the same period in 2019. According to the company, the losses were increased by factors such as the incidence of PIS / Cofins on financial results (R $ 121.9 million), net exchange variation (R $ 115 , 3 million), impairment (R $ 38.1 million), among others.
The company’s production during the interval reached 431.1 thousand barrels. The volume represents a reduction of 19.1% and 17.9% when compared to the same period last year (532.6 thousand barrels) and fourth quarter of 2019 (524.9 thousand barrels), respectively. According to the company, the performance of its was reduced due to the scheduled interruption in its production.
Regarding the effects of coronavirus in the future, the company stated that it is not yet “possible to measure or anticipate future financial and economic impacts arising from COVID-19, with regard to the fluctuation of the exchange rate and the price of the barrel of oil that follow global trends ”.
