The market for floating production, storage and offloading units (FPSO) is heating up. Séverine Baudic, SBM Offshore’s Managing Director for Floating Production Solutions, weighs in on the strategic initiatives and technological innovations helping the company to secure contracts for some of the world’s most complex deepwater projects. “The FPSO market is back with nine FPSOs awarded this year [as of mid-December 2019], reaching levels that the industry had previously in the period 2010-2014,” Baudic said. “We expect similar numbers in the years ahead.”
