The ANP board approved the extension of the Roncador field concession contract, in the deep waters of the Campos Basin, for another 27 years. Round Zero Field, the area also had its development plan approved by the agency.
– Round Zero was the auction that ratified the fields that would be with Petrobras after the end of the monopoly of exploration and production activities in Brazil.
– Roncador Field was declared commercial in 1998 and went live in 1999. It currently has four platforms in operation: P-52, P-54, P-55 and P-62.
– In mid-2018, Equinor bought a 25% stake, which is the third largest oil producer in the country, surpassed only by Lula and Sapinhoá, Santos Basin pre-salt fields.
