ANP Permanent Offer areas will be auctioned on September 10; Rosneft Registered

The ANP will hold on September 10 the auction to offer areas for the first cycle of the permanent offer, which will tender offshore and onshore exploratory blocks already tendered or returned. The first cycle will open on Thursday, 27 of Sept , and companies interested in participating have until July 17 to fill out the application form, delivery of registration documents and payment of participation fee. Offer guarantees, accompanied by a declaration of interest, must be submitted by August 7.

The agency expects to announce until August 16 the sectors that will be part of the first cycle. From there it will wait another ten days to present the additional offer guarantees for the sectors in bidding. Subscription bonuses need to be paid by January 2020 and contracts are expected to be signed a month later.

In May, ANP expanded the permanent supply of exploration areas to 600 blocks, adding 442 in a total of seven onshore basins and five offshore basins. In all, there are 527 onshore blocks in Espírito Santo, Potiguar, Recôncavo, Sergipe-Alagoas, Paraná, Parnaíba and Tucano, and 73 offshore blocks in the Campos, Ceará, Potiguar, Santos and Sergipe-Alagoas basins. Of these areas, 14 areas are fields with marginal accumulations in Espírito Santo, Potiguar, Recôncavo and Sergipe-Alagoas Basins.

On Thursday, the ANP announced the registration of four new companies in the permanent offer. Russia’s Rosneft, which recently signed an agreement with the government of Amazonas, Canada’s Alvopetro, which has recently been authorized by the ANP to build a gas pipeline in Bahia, and Brazilian refineries Brazil and Newo Oil and Gas.
