The ANP approved, on Thursday (16/5), a change in the announcement of the permanent offer regime excluding 16 blocks in the Amazon Basin. The agency is awaiting FUNAI’s opinion on the areas, due to its proximity to indigenous lands.
With the change, the tender offer now has 600 blocks and 14 areas with marginal accumulations – all with environmental viability – and 31 companies registered.
For the second stage of the process it is foreseen the analysis of 1,039 thousand blocks in 20 terrestrial and maritime basins, of new frontier and mature, totaling 437,928,017 Km².
At this stage, 85 blocks will be offered in seven basins (Amazonas, Paraná, Parecis, Recôncavo, São Francisco, Solimões and Tucano) and 954 in 13 sea basins (Barreirinhas, Camamu-Almada, Ceará, Espírito Santo, Foz do Amazonas, Jacuípe , Jequitinhonha, Pará-Maranhão, Pelotas, Pernambuco-Paraíba, Potiguar, Santos and Sergipe-Alagoas).
