Açu Petroleo and Equinor signed a contract to carry out ship to ship operations at the company’s Petroleum Terminal (T-OIL) at the Porto Açu Complex, in São João da Barra (RJ). For three years, starting in January 2020, the agreement provides for the relief of production of the Norwegian oil company in the Roncador field, in the Campos Basin.
Through the partnership, Equinor will be able to operate, through its Suezmax and Very Large Crude Carrier (VLCC) vessels, the majority of its Brazilian oil exports through the terminal, like Shell and Petrogal, which are already clients of the joint venture between Plumo Logística and the German Oiltanking.
