Most requests refer to auctioned blocks in the sixth and seventh rounds of the ANP
The ANP is reviewing 56 requests for local content additions. Almost half of them (26) were submitted by Petrobras, while 22 by Petra Energia, three by Parnaíba Natural Gas (PGN), two by Niko Brasil E & P and one by IPI Oil Exploration of Petroleum.
Most requests (24) refer to blocks of the seventh round of the ANP, almost all in the São Francisco Basin. Another 14 are related to assets of the sixth round in the Potiguar, Sergipe and Espírito Santo basins. Also listed in the list are requirements for blocks in the Pernambuco-Paraíba (4), Parnaíba (3), Santos (2), Alagoas (2) and Recôncavo (1) basins.
To date, 237 contracts have been signed for the addition of local content, 68 of them referring to blocks operated by Petrobras. Among the top five operators on the list are Imetame, with 19 additions, Petra Energia (16), Rosneft (13) and Shell (11).
Slightly more than 30% of the contracts added refer to blocks of the 11th round, with assets in the Barreirinhas, Tucano Sul and Foz do Amazonas basins.
Another 84 requests are awaiting statements or documentation from the operators, 32 are included in the signature of the addendum, and one – from Shell, referring to the Gato do Mato block, in the Santos Basin pre-salt – awaits the signing of the MME.
About 30 applications were rejected, eight of them submitted by Rosneft, five by Karoon, five by Imetame, five by Alvopetro, four by Petrobras, three by Vipetro and two by Equinor.
In total, requests for addition of local content total 448 assets, between exploratory blocks and fields, of which 305 are onshore and 143 are at sea.
