Petrobras received from IBAMA the environmental license for the start of production of the FPSO P-76, which is installed in the Búzios field, in the pre-salt of the Santos Basin. The license is valid until February 8, 2023 and the unit must be the second to come into operation in the basin this year.
The P-76 was integrated by Techint E & C at its offshore unit in Pontal do Paraná. The FPSO has the capacity to produce 150,000 barrels per day of oil and compress 7 million cubic meters per day of natural gas. At Pontal do Paraná, Techint E & C has built 15 of the unit’s 20 topside modules.
Petrobras has started the FPSO P-67 in the Lula field, in the Santos Basin pre-salt. In addition to the P-76, the company also plans to start the operation of the P-77 FPSO, which will also be producing in the Búzios field and the P-68 platform in the Lula field by the end of the year.
