Divestments resume at Petrobras

After the resumption of negotiations for the sale of TAG, the talks with Engie “have advanced faster than expected,” Valor reports. The French group, which according to the newspaper, in partnership with the Canadian fund CDPQ, offered US $ 8 billion for the gas carrier of Petrobras, which operates 4.5 km of pipelines in northern and northeastern states. Before the deal closes, competitors will have a another chance to try to cover Engie’s proposal.

The resumption of negotiations took place in January, following a decision favorable to Petrobras in the STJ, which overturned a TRF-5 injunction, releasing the sale of TAG. Earlier this year, Petrobras announced the sale of the Pasadena refinery in the United States to Chevron, has resumed the process for the sale of Araucária Nitrogenados, in addition to refining partnerships.
