Petrobras has contracted Roxtec to carry out the quality verification of cables and pipelines on board the FPSO P-68, scheduled to start operating this year. The state company also requested that Roxtec’s specialists instruct engineers and installers at Jurong Shipyard on how their sealing solutions work.
Roxtec introduced the new inspection device, the digital tool labeled “Roxtec Transit Inspector”, and performed on-site checks on the FPSO. The objective is to check the quality of lines and cables, as well as increase knowledge about the sealing solutions.
The P-68 will have daily processing capacity of 150,000 barrels of oil and six million cubic meters of gas, can store up to 1.6 million barrels of oil and will act at a depth of water of 2.2 thousand meters.
