Spectrum was authorized by ANP to extend the multi-client 3D seismic survey in the southern region of the Santos Basin, close to pre-salt discoveries. The area of the campaign is 14.800 km ². The survey is being done in an area that covers blocks offered in the 2nd, 3rd, 4th rounds of the pre-salt and 15th round of concession, the first two held last year and the others this year.
The campaign, which began in July this year, is expected to take another five months to complete. The data will only be ready by the end of 2019 and will be processed in Brazil and Houston (TX) in the United States. The ship Hai Yang Shi Hou 720 will continue doing the survey work.
In October, Spectrum entered into a collaboration with TGS for this campaign.
