DOF said on Thursday that the contract for the utilization of the Brazilian-built OSV Skandi Salvador was awarded to its subsidiary DOF Subsea Brazil.

The firm contract will last for 650 days and, by mutual agreement, can be extended by an additional 650 days.

The Skandi Salvador is currently working for Shell Brasil and will begin its contract with Petrobras in July.

The company won the contract with Petrobras soon after DOF’s newbuild Skandi Recife, a Brazilian-flagged flexible lay and construction vessel owned by a joint venture between TechnipFMC and DOF, started its eight-year charter contract with the Brazilian oil giant.

Earlier this week that DOF Subsea was awarded several contracts in the Atlantic region.

Namely, the new deals secured utilization for the vessels Geosund and Skandi Skansen throughout the second and the third quarter of the year.
