REPORT – PETROBRAS TO PRODUCE 2.7 MILLION BARRELS PER DAY BY 2021

Petrobras production is expected to reach 2.7 million barrels by 2021, when the Roncador field will account for 8.3% of that volume, followed by Búzios III and Búzios I, with 5.9% and 5% , respectively. The data are part of a survey presented by the company GlobalData.

The average production of Petrobras in Brazil in 2017 was 2.15 million barrels per day. An important project in the context of raising production of the state-owned company is the Mero area, which according to the report of GlobalData, will contribute 39.1 thousand barrels per day to Petrobras by 2021. Búzios III will have to correspond to about 156.5 thousand barrels per day. The biggest highlight, however, will be Roncador, with 220,2 thousand barrels in 2021.

The report estimates that Petrobras will spend US $ 45.6 billion between 2018 and 2021 in conventional and heavy oil projects, with CAPEX reaching US $ 13.1 billion in 2018.
