Transpetro’s Suezmax, Abdias Nascimento, starts operating in the Campos Basin



The vessel “Abdias Nascimento” was delivered by the Atlantico Sul Shipyard to Transpetro and started operations on the 14 having its destination on its first trip to the Campos Basin.

At 274 meters in length, the ship has a loading capacity of 1 million barrels of oil and is ready to operate in Brazil and abroad. With Suezmax Abdias Birth at sea, Transpetro expands its fleet and becomes even more capable to meet the demands of the most rigorous international standards.

Currently, five Aframax ships are being built at the Atlântico Sul Shipyard , three of which are expected to be delivered in 2018 and another two in 2019.
