Feb. 3 (TN) According to recent data released in the 2025 Production Consolidation Supplement of the ANP’s Oil and Natural Gas Production Bulletin*, three FPSOs operated by MODEC are among the top 10 producers in Brazil. The FPSO Guanabara MV31 stood out as the leading oil and gas producer in 2025, maintaining the position it also achieved in 2024 and 2023. The FPSOs Carioca MV30 and Almirante Barroso MV32 ranked fourth and fifth, respectively.
“These units represent MODEC’s technical robustness, both in terms of the professionals on the operational front line on board and the onshore teams, who offer all the necessary support. Together, they deliver high efficiency, with stable and safe operations, contributing to customer results and national energy production,” says Rodrigo Rocha, Business Development Manager at MODEC in Brazil.
With a focus on innovation and operational efficiency, in 2025 the company advanced strategic projects that reinforce its presence in the country and support an optimistic scenario for 2026. Among the year’s main highlights are the start of operations of Equinor’s FPSO Bacalhau, one of the largest and most technologically advanced ever built for Brazilian waters, the signing of the contract for the development of the FPSO Gato do Mato – Orca project, with Shell Brazil, and progress in the construction of Equinor’s FPSO Raia.

The company is aligned with the global Mid-Term Plan, which aims to consolidate MODEC as the best FPSO builder and operator in the world, with the lowest carbon footprint in the sector, over the next ten years.
In addition to maintaining high standards of safety and operational performance, the company is also advancing initiatives focused on digitalization, energy efficiency, and professional training to support the sustainable growth of the sector in Brazil. “We have a clear commitment to operational excellence, innovation, and the reduction of carbon emissions,” reinforces Rodrigo Rocha.
