ANP Releases Consolidated Oil and Gas Production Data for November 2025

Jan. 5 – In November 2025, Brazil produced 4.921 million barrels of oil equivalent per day (boe/d) of oil and natural gas. The data was released today by the ANP in its Monthly Oil and Natural Gas Production Bulletin.

Regarding oil, 3.773 million barrels per day (bbl/d) were extracted, a 6.4% decrease compared to the previous month and a 13.9% increase compared to the same month in 2024.

Natural gas production in November was 182.57 million cubic meters per day (m³/d). There was a 6.3% decrease compared to October and a 15.7% increase compared to November 2024.

Pre-salt

Total production (oil + natural gas) in the pre-salt layer in November was 3.913 million boe/d, corresponding to 79.6% of Brazilian production. Production decreased by 8.5% compared to the previous month and increased by 15.6% compared to the same month in 2024.

3.024 million bbl/d of oil and 141.27 million m³/d of natural gas were produced through 178 wells.

Natural gas utilization

In November, natural gas utilization was 96.9%. 61.87 million m³/d were made available to the market, and 5.71 million m³/d were flared. There was a 5.0% increase in flaring compared to the previous month, and an 8.1% reduction compared to November 2024.

Production Origin

Offshore fields produced 97.7% of the oil and 85.7% of the natural gas. Fields operated by Petrobras, alone or in consortium with other companies, were responsible for 89.35% of the total produced. Production originated from 6,082 wells, 539 offshore and 5,543 onshore.

Fields and Facilities

In November, the Búzios field, in the pre-salt layer of the Santos Basin, was the largest oil producer, registering 744,300 bbl/d of oil. The Mero field, also in the Santos Basin, was the largest natural gas producer, with 40.80 million m³/d.

The installations with the highest production were the FPSO Almirante Tamandaré, in the Búzios Field, for oil (239,453 bbl/d); and the FPSO Marechal Duque de Caxias, in the Mero field, for gas (12.83 million m³/d).
