Singapore, 10 Dec 2025 – Seatrium Offshore Technology, the flagship offshore jack-up designer for
Seatrium Group, has been awarded a repeat contract by International Maritime Industries (IMI), the
largest shipyard in the MENA region, for the supply of equipment and license for a LeTourneau Super
116E Class Self-Elevating Drilling Unit (SE-MODU), Kingdom 4.
This latest award follows the successful Kingdom 3 contract earlier this year and reinforces the strong
partnership between Seatrium and IMI in advancing offshore drilling capabilities in the Kingdom. The
Kingdom 4 project further underscores IMI’s commitment to the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 objectives of
technology leadership, sustainability, and local content development.
As with Kingdom 3, the chosen design will be the LeTourneau Super 116E Class, part of Seatrium’s
next-generation jack-up designs tailored for operational requirements in the MENA region. These rigs
will feature 343-foot legs, 1.5-million-pound hook load capacity, and advanced cyber systems,
ensuring superior performance and reliability in demanding offshore environments.
Seatrium’s flexible approach allows clients to build vessels in its own yards or leverage its proven rig
kits to meet local content requirements. With this repeat order, Seatrium continues its legacy as a
global leader in jack-up rig design and construction—a legacy that began in 1955 with the world’s first
independent leg jack-up drilling rig.
The Kingdom 4 award marks the 45th order for the LeTourneau Super 116 series, reaffirming its
position as one of the most trusted and widely deployed jack-up designs globally. Today, Seatrium
has designed and contributed to the construction of more than half of all jack-up rigs in service
worldwide, including 65% of those operating in the Middle East.
