PPSA (Pré-Sal Petróleo) has postponed the spot auction of Union oil from the Bacalhau Field to early 2026, previously scheduled for the 10th. The auction will be divided into two phases: the first will take place on January 14th at 11:00 AM, with an offer of 1 million barrels; the second is scheduled for March 11th, at the same time, when three other cargoes of 1 million barrels each will be negotiated.
This will be the first sale of Union oil from Bacalhau, whose production began on October 15th. The cargo from the first stage is scheduled for shipment at the end of February or beginning of March 2026, while the following three cargoes should be moved between May and September of next year. All companies operating in the pre-salt layer were invited to participate, in addition to PRIO and the Mataripe Refinery.
The prices presented will be based on the dated Brent crude oil price and will be opened in a virtual session via MS Teams, with the participation of all qualified companies, following the model adopted in the last spot auctions conducted by PPSA.
