Twelve companies expressed interest and offer guarantees for sectors that will be auctioned in the ANP Permanent Offer

(PN) The National Petroleum Agency (ANP) is advancing preparations for the next auction of the Permanent Concession Offer, which will be held on June 17. The regulatory agency reported that 12 companies presented declarations of interest and offer guarantees for the 16 sectors that will be offered in the event.

In addition, the agency also published in the Official Gazette of the Union this Monday the sequence of offers and the calculation of the auction results. The round will begin with the SPRC-L and SPRC-O sectors, in the Parecis Basin.

Next, it will be the turn of the SFZA-AP2, SFZA-AP1, SFZA-AP4 and SFZA-AP3 sectors, all located in the Foz do Amazonas Basin. As we have already reported, this will be the first time that blocks from this basin will be auctioned under the Permanent Offer modality.

Next, the SPOT-AP1 sector will be offered, in the Potiguar Basin. The session will continue with the SS-AUP4, SS-AP1, SS-AR3, SS-AUP5 and SS-AP4 sectors, all in the Santos Basin. Finally, the round will close with the SP-AUP3, SP-AP2, SP-AUP7 and SP-AP3 sectors, in the Pelotas Basin.

The Permanent Offer is the main bidding model for oil and gas exploration and production in Brazil, allowing the continuous offering of exploratory blocks in onshore and offshore basins. Unlike traditional rounds, this format offers more flexibility to companies, which can submit proposals at the most opportune time.

Currently, there are two modalities: the Permanent Concession Offer (OPC) and the Permanent Production Sharing Offer (OPP), depending on the contracting regime adopted.
