Petrobras signs R$8.4 billion contract with Subsea7 for subsea interconnection of the Buzios 11 Project

Petrobras has signed an engineering, acquisition, construction and subsea installation (EPCI) contract for the Buzios 11 Project with the company Subsea7, worth R$8.4 billion, as a result of a competitive contracting process. The agreement is expected to generate more than a thousand direct and indirect employees.

The contract establishes a minimum requirement of 40% local content, but the expectation is to reach a percentage above 50%.

According to Petrobras’ Director of Engineering, Technology and Innovation, Renata Baruzzi, the increase in local content favors the management of the project. “It brings suppliers closer to the company, expands the development of the entire national supply chain and generates jobs”, she says.

The Buzios 11 Production Development Project foresees the interconnection of 15 wells to the P-83 platform, with 8 producers and 7 alternating water and gas injectors. The start of the EPCI Buzios 11 offshore campaign is scheduled for October 2027. The Buzios consortium is composed of Petrobras (operator), the Chinese partner companies CNOOC, CNODC and PPSA, the company managing the production sharing contracts.
