Brava Energia announces new Offshore Operations Director

BRAVA ENERGIA S.A. (“BRAVA” or “Company”) (B3: BRAV3), in compliance with the provisions of CVM Resolution No. 44 and the Novo Mercado Regulation, and complementing the Material Fact disclosed on January 30, 2024, hereby informs its shareholders and the market in general that, on this date, Mr. Carlos José do Nascimento Travassos has assumed the position of Offshore Operations Officer, following the ratification of his appointment as Statutory Officer by the Board of Directors, replacing Mr. Carlos Ferraz Mastrangelo.

Mr. Travassos holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering and a postgraduate degree in Business Management in Oil & Gas and Renewable Energy. Mr. Travassos has 39 years of experience and held the position of Vice President of Investment and Digital Technologies at Braskem until December 2024. Prior to that, he built his career both in Brazil and abroad at Petrobras, where he acted for 35 years, in addition to four years in the Naval Construction segment with the Brazilian Navy. Throughout his career at Petrobras, Mr. Travassos held several leadership positions, including Executive Director of Engineering, Technology and Innovation, Executive Manager of Deepwater Operations, and Executive Manager of Surface Systems, Refining, Gas, and Energy. Among his key contributions are: (i) the management of exploration and production projects, including pre-salt production systems; (ii) the management of refinery projects, as well as logistics and natural gas infrastructure; (iii) leadership in technology development through Petrobras’ Research Center; and (iv) leadership in the development and operation of deepwater fields in the Campos and Espírito Santo Basins.

During his tenure as Offshore Operations Officer, Mr. Mastrangelo’s experience in Exploration and Production development projects, particularly involving floating production units (FPSOs), was instrumental in enabling BRAVA to become the first independent oil and gas company in the country to develop a deepwater production system from its initial phase. BRAVA extends its gratitude to Mr. Mastrangelo for his dedication and significant contributions to the company and wishes him continued success in his professional journey.

Finally, Brava reinforces its commitment to keep its investors and the market in general properly informed, in line with best corporate governance practices and in strict compliance with current legislation.
