Ocyan announces new president

Ocyan announced Rodrigo Lemos as the company’s president, succeeding Luiz Reis. Before assuming the new position, Lemos served as executive vice president of Subsea and Offshore Production. The transition was planned over the last few months to ensure continued growth of the company, with a focus on safety, profitability and customer service. Luiz Reis will remain on the Ocyan Board and will support the new president over the next three months, ensuring a smooth transition.

Lemos is a mechanical engineer graduated from the Federal University of Santa Catarina, with an MBA in Project Management from FGV, a specialization in Finance from FIPECAFI and international certifications. With 19 years of experience at Ocyan, he has held different strategic positions, including leadership of the Offshore Production area between 2010 and 2021. Before becoming CEO, he was Executive Vice President of Subsea and Offshore Production and also serves as a member of the Board of the Altera&Ocyan joint venture.

“It was based on solid and well-structured work that we moved forward with the succession of executive leadership. And, unsurprisingly, the choice comes from a great talent already within the company. Rodrigo knows Ocyan in depth, has experience, discipline and the focus we need. We are confident that his management will be marked by consistency and results”, celebrates Flávio Valle, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Ocyan and Managing Director of EIG in Brazil.

As a reminder, the American global fund EIG and Lake Capital Investimentos, the asset management division of Lakeshore Partners, acquired 100% of Ocyan’s stake exactly one year ago.
