Brazil oil production increased by 1.1% in February 2025

(PN) National oil production in February totaled 3.488 million barrels per day (bbl/d), an increase of 1.1% compared to the previous month and 1.2% compared to the same month in 2024. The data was released by the National Petroleum Agency (ANP).

Natural gas production registered 158.76 million cubic meters per day (m³/d). The value represents a decrease of 1.2% compared to January and an increase of 6.8% compared to February last year. Total Brazilian production (oil + natural gas) was 4.487 million barrels of oil equivalent per day.

In the pre-salt layer, production in February reached 3.532 million barrels of oil equivalent per day, an increase of 1.8% compared to the previous month and 5.9% compared to the same month in 2024. A total of 2.740 million barrels of oil per day and 126.02 million m³ per day of natural gas were produced through 162 wells.

The Tupi field, in the pre-salt layer of the Santos Basin, was the largest producer, registering 760.73 thousand barrels per day of oil and 38.17 million m³ per day of natural gas. The installation with the highest production was the FPSO Guanabara, in the shared Mero field, with 183,584 barrels per day of oil and 12.03 million m³ per day of gas.
