(PN) Brava Energia (formed by the merger between 3R and Enauta) announced it has received the operating license from the Brazilian Institute of the Environment (Ibama) for the Atlanta platform ship (FPSO), which will be installed in the field of the same name, in the Santos Basin. The company is now working to obtain approval from the National Petroleum Agency (ANP), the last pending authorization to begin production on the new platform.
The FPSO Atlanta will have the capacity to process up to 50,000 barrels of oil and 140,000 barrels of water per day, and to store 1.6 million barrels of oil. The campaign to install the second multiphase pumping module and connect the four other wells planned for Phase I of the field’s development is proceeding according to schedule.
Brava Energia also announced that it recorded 56.6 thousand barrels of oil equivalent per day produced in August, which represents an increase of 3.1% compared to the previous month. The company operates the Potiguar, Macau, Areia Branca, Fazenda Belém, Rio Ventura, Recôncavo, Peroá, Papa-Terra and Atlanta fields, and holds a 35% stake in the Pescada field and a 45% stake in the Manati field (operated by Petrobrás).
The Papa-Terra operation was halted on September 4 at the request of the ANP along with a request for information about the campaign carried out on the platform. Production from the field had resumed on August 29, with approximately 15 thousand barrels of oil equivalent per day through six wells (PPT12, PPT-16, PPT-17, PPT-22, PPT-37 and PPT50), after a scheduled shutdown for maintenance and revitalization of equipment to increase the efficiency of the asset. Well PPT-51 is undergoing intervention to replace the pump.
