PRIO plans to extract the first oil from the Wahoo field, in the Campos Basin, in the first quarter of this year. Initially, the plan was to start producing at the beginning of the second half of 2024.
The field will be mainly responsible for the company’s growth this year and next, especially in the natural gas segment, produced in association with oil.
With Wahoo production, PRIO has the potential to double its current daily gas production, of 400 thousand m³, according to Bruno Menezes, executive manager of New Business at PRIO.
